Capacitive level sensors

The capacitive level sensor KGFR with G1 thread and round tip can be used universally: for aqueous media such as Water, acids and alkalis, many oils and granulates such as Road salt.

Capacitive level sensors
The measuring electrode of the level sensors, together with their surroundings, form an electrical capacitor, the capacitance of which depends on the medium that surrounds the electrode as a dielectric. As soon as the dielectric is no longer formed by a gas but by the filling material, there is a jump in capacitance, which leads to a change in the current consumption. This change in current causes the switching signal in the switching amplifier.

The capacitive level sensor KGFR with G1 thread and round tip can be used universally: for aqueous media such as Water, acids and alkalis, many oils and granulates such as Road salt. Since plastics with a low epsilon value, e.g. PE, not detected, the medium can also be detected with this sensor through plastic container walls. If necessary, the sensor can also be specified according to customer requirements (e.g. cable length, connector, thread).
